FAQ:
1. What are club prep sessions?
Club prep sessions are an opportunity for players to sharpen their skills in an instructional environment with Apex coaches. We focus on getting players ready for club season while sharing club and tryout expectations. It's a great way for players to get court time, instruction, and gain confidence going into any tryout. We limit the number or players per session, and these fill very quickly, so don't wait to register.
2. Are these sessions just for players who are trying out for Apex?
NO, these are for any players interested in getting some practice and tips before tryouts for any club. Players from ANY school or club welcome!!
3. What if I only have time for 1 session?
Great! We have 3-4 sessions available because we know girls have busy schedules. Please register for as many sessions that work in your family's schedule.
4. Do I have to attend any or all of these to tryout for Apex?
NO, these sessions are just an opportunity for girls to get instruction, court time, and learn about what to expect at a tryout, and get a feel for how Apex operates. It helps boost confidence and get “tryout nerves” out when players know what to expect. Come to as many or few that work for your schedule!
5. When are tryouts?
Tryouts are scheduled for January 17th & 18th at Glacier HS. Times TBD.
6. How many teams does Apex have?
We have 5 competitive teams which include a 12s,13s, 14s, 16s, & 18s teams. Click the "Teams" pages to learn more about the teams and typical schedules.
7. If I played on an Apex team before, am I guaranteed a spot this season?
No, teams are re-formed each season.
8. Do I need an AAU number to attend these Club prep sessions?
No, you do not need an AAU number to register for these sessions. You will need an AAU number for tryouts in the valley (we will have more about this as tryouts get closer).
9. What if I want to "play up" and attend sessions and tryouts for an older team?
We keep players at their grade level in middle school. The decision to move players us is based on need of the team, not preference of the family. We feel like it is in the best interest and long-term growth of a player to play at their grade level in middle school.
Reach out if you have other questions, good luck in school ball everyone!
